Our Commitment

The Employee Services & Programs team at Western New Mexico University supports the employee experience through recruitment, onboarding, development, and engagement. We serve as a central resource for employees and hiring departments, delivering consistent, responsive services that support both daily operations and long-term organizational success.

Our team leads key functions including hiring and recruitment, onboarding and orientation, employee services, and professional development programming. We also design and implement initiatives focused on talent development, employee engagement, and service excellence to foster a supportive and high-performing workplace.

Through collaboration, streamlined processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we enhance the employee experience across the University.

  • Manage job postings and hiring processes (faculty, staff, student, temporary)
  • Supports recruitment strategy, outreach efforts, and job fairs
  • Provides hiring toolkits, resources, and search guidance
  • Processes new position requests and provides job description support
  • Coordinates background checks and pre-employment processes
    • Form I-9 processing and compliance support
  • Point of Contact for Immigration Sponsorship (Faculty)
  • Maintains and supports hiring systems (PeopleAdmin)
  • Design and deliver professional and career development programs
  • Facilitate leadership and mentoring training for employees and supervisors
  • Support performance management processes and tools
  • Develop and implement talent management initiatives
  • Create training curriculum and resources (Canvas, workshops, online learning)
  • Coordinates all New Employee Orientations
  • Leads employee engagement initiatives
